Car wont shut off with key

After having no problems at all, last night my 1969 Dart 340 4 speed, after going for a long ride, would not shut off when i turned the key to shut it down.. this is the first time i have ever had this problem, ive put hundreds of miles at a time with no problem until last night, anyone have any ideas on what this could possibly be.. thanks Tom

Look for wire melted together at the bulkhead connecter first.

Might also be a bad ign. switch
