Will a lean burn carb work if not used with the lean burn setup?

Yes, you'll need to do a few simple simple mods.
The carb has a electric vent at the rear top plate. Remove the plate and look under it for a rubber disk pressed into a hinged arm. Remove the rubber part.
It's function is venting. If it doesn't open, a super lean condition results.
Also, in the primary side , the choke tower has 2 holes drilled into the front half. They run up and down. (Vertical)
Epoxy them shut. (JB Weld)
Find thinner rods or bend up AFB/AVS rods to fit and recalibrate the carb.

Thanks, I ran across this carb and need it for a 400 I am building for a 37 plymouth coupe.
