Ok guys, I have checked the internet and most carb calculators specify 800-860 cfm for a 440 at 6200 rpm. I have a built 12 to 1 440 30 over, 214 int 181 ex valves pocket port with mild porting, cam is 241 dur @50, 557 lift. Intake is Edelbrock TM7 w/2 inch spacer. Headers are 2 inch fenderwell. Stall convert is 2800 and my red line is 6500 rpm. What carb should I run? 850, 950, 1050...
Thanks,
Rob

If you're going Holley or Demon I'd say 750 - 850. I've got the same setup you have just a bigger cam and I'm going with a 750 Holley double pumper. My .02

I think a quick fuel 850 would be perfect for your combo, thats what i'm running on my stroker and without a doubt the single best carb i've ever used, and i've tried them all demon, holley, carter ect..out of the box it was dialed-in and i've never had to touch it going on 2 seasons now..

I have a 750 Speed Demon on my 340 its agood carb but,
I would never buy another BG product they got to have the worst PR anybody I have ever seen.

Try and get parts from them and unless you are a big time racer they just throw you to the side.

If I ever buy another carb it will be a Quick Fuel one.

They have given me more help with parts, tuning then I ever got from BG.

Infact just got a carb kit from QF in less then 3 days and BG keep jacking me around!

Just my .02

Thanks,
