Hello,
I have a friend with a 64 Dart 273 that has developed some issue with his 2 barrel carburetor. He would like to know what options are out there for quality rebuildable cores.
He claims that the 273 carburetor is different than what was used on the 318s that came along in 1967.
These are pictures of his carburetor:

I know next to nothing about the unique components in these carburetors but he says that it has to be a 2 barrel from a very early 273. There are no numbers on the carburetor except these:

Model numbers were originally on aluminum tags that sat under a screw retaining the top cover of the carb.
He mainly needs a restorable baseplate but may be interested in a whole core if that is all that is available.
Thanks, Greg

You guys would know more than I would. 2 barrel carbs get shelved, sold or given away here.
Sad thing is, 4 years ago this guy gave me couple truckloads of parts he had left over. I sold, gave or scrapped all of it. There probably was one of those carburetors in the collection.

Yeah, that appears to be from a '70-73 vintage. A '64 carb wouldn't have the bowl vent like that one. Doesn't the 273 2bbl carb have a different mounting bolt pattern than the 318? Somehow in the back of my mind I think so.
