I'm going to order the carpet from Stock Interiors for my 66 Valiant Signet. A few questions for the more experienced than me. I'm going to go with the Nylon Loop instead of the 80-20 loop. I like the look of it better. What's your opinion on that? Also, has anyone ordered it with Mass Backing? Is it worth the extra $58?

EDIT: Found out that Nylon loop is for most Mustangs and Mopar is 80-20.

People who have ordered the mass backing like it in that it lays better on the floor board. The thing about it is that it is difficult to cut, so get you a good pair of scissors or plenty razor blades to aid in your installation. If you are able to request it, I have been asking both ACC and Trim Parts to trim the carpet long so as to give you more to work with. Previously with both companies, it could be cut so short that it would be difficult pull and position properly on the firewall and sill plates.

I prefer the mass backing! Use hook razor's for fitting. Check with profit in Alabama before you buy! They are usually the cheapest and a great folks to deal with.

I hear what you're saying that the mass backing would be a better choice, but what about it fitting under the kick plate along the doors stills? I also checked with Pro Fit and they are more expensive.

Was no issue. If I remember correctly it is either thinner or not all the way to the edge area.

Please let us know who the manufacture is once you receive the carpet and let us know how it fits, thanks,

The manufacture is Stock Interiors. I'll let you know how it fits and I'll take some pictures also.

Received the carpet from Stock Interiors today! Took 3 days to receive. Unpacked it and set it out so it wouldn't hold the wrinkles from the packing box. Looks really good. I'll be installing it in 1 to 2 weeks after I do some small repairs, install bucket seats and mockup the floor shifter.
