I am new to the A body forum.
We are having a problem figuring out any information on our Carter AVS .
The number reads as follows.
k2 464usa
The top of the carb reads 1944 .
All help is appreciated.

We wrote everyone about our 1970 Duster and posted a few pictures.
would like to rebuild the Carter and install on the Edelbrock Performer.
Replacing the Holley 600 single pumper.
Thanks to all.

Look at the carbs mounting pad for a 4 digit number, post that for any detailed info you seek. The other numbers , thphhhh.

The only numers i have found on the mounting pad are.
K2 464 usa .
My Dad 83 years young thinks it's early.
He still has a lot of information in his mellon.
You can always learn from your elders.
He showed me on the (small block)engines n or d for night or day.
The clock and the year .
The others side reads 360 / 318 or other.
I was 16 and thought man Mopar is the best.
He had back then a 413 in a hot rod man it was nice .
But that is another story.
Thanks again all.

My guess it's a 4640

1969 440 w/AC

The K2 is a date code for when it was manufactured. It codes to Oct with a year ending in "2". Likely an over the counter replacement carb from 1972.

Flip it over and see if the butterflies are all the same size or if they are two different sizes. If they are all the same size then it's a 440 HP carb and if they are two different sized it is either a 440 low performance, 383 or 340 carb. Can you post any pictures?

All butterflies are the same size.
I wish to rebuild & install on the 360.
I will try to post pictures now.
Thanks for the help.

pictures are on my gallery i can't put them up on the forum as of yet please go look and tell me what you think.
