Hey guys, I'm looking to rebuild the carburetor on my '84 d100. It's a 2 barrel Carter carburetor. Can anyone tell me where I can find a rebuild kit for it? Also, does anyone know what size jets were in them stock? Thanks.

How about a little info?
Is this for a 360, a 318, or a 225?
A carb number would be nice, or at least a picture...
RockAuto is where I'd start, at least to get the kit numbers.

The truck is a 1984 dodge d100 with a 318 in it. I tried to post some pictures with my first post. I'll try again. The numbers on the green metal tag are:
6 3 1 6 S
3 1 3 2 325

That carb is much older than the truck. Where you see "6316s" that's what you need to get the right kit.
That carb is at least 10 years older than the truck, not saying that's a bad thing at all. By then most 318s were using the Holley 2280 rather than the Carter.
I can tell roughly how old by some of the external features of the carb. By 1976 most BBD carbs were more "squared off" looking and had an inspection cover where the accelerator pump adjustment and metering rod stroke was adjusted,
that cover was held in place by a single screw.

Thanks for all the help guys. I searched all day and couldn't find what I needed. I'll look at the above links. Could be the missing part I needed.

I did notice in my searching that they almost all had holley carbs. This is my first Mopar, so I'm still learning. You guys have been awesome to me, so thanks again for all the help.

BBD, I've seen new ones for less than $100
I wouldn't trust one of those chinacarbs any farther than I could throw it....
And op, why are you asking about jets? Why are you thinking you need replacement?
It's already richer than an original '84 carb would be.
You could use the same jets and different metering rods for same effect, but you won't need them unless you're also modifying the rest of the engine underneath the carb.

Yeah, I definitely wasn't gonna buy a piece of junk. I've worked on tractors for people and those Chinese things almost always fail. As for the jets, my buddy told me to ask because he was curious.

Just did a test run on this High Top NOS Carter BBD on a 360 with a mid rise Weiand 8022 intake and a 340 cam.

Ran nice, although it is an economy carb.

Idled down nice too.

Also did a test run on this NOS Stromberg 2 bbl (large mopar bolt 2 bbl intake pattern) on the same stock build 360.

Now that is an impressive 2 bbl carb!
