Cast Pistons

Hey all, I have a chance to pick up a new full set of 30 over 340 cast pistons. I'm not a Engine builder so I was wondering if these would be good for a mild fresh 340 build? Nothing serious,just mostly stock. Thanks in advance! Craig.

NOTHING wrong with cast pistons at all ....'cept in a forced-induction combo.

I'll go further than that. Cast pistons will live in stock, mild, nitrous and blown applications as long as they don't run lean. That's what kills them. Of course, like anything else, you want a good quality brand. Silvolite comes to mind. Badger not so much.
