I NEVER REALIZED THE DANGER OF REUSING BACON GREASE.....UNTIL NOW. HOPE I AM NOT TOO LATE IN GETTING THIS INFO TO SOME OF YOU !!

We were raised on bacon grease as kids and even into adulthood. I will never use it again I just threw out my last 2 lbs of bacon grease!! I hope you will throw yours away whenever you fry bacon from now on. It seems as though nothing is safe to eat anymore.

I got your message just in time!! The wife was cookin up a slab of bacon- No, REALLY!!
(Actually we microwave our bacon, and then frequently we'll throw the greasy paper towels, newspaper, or whatever we used to absorb all that FAT, into the old wood burnin' stove. That'll get her goin'!! And the smell drives the neighbors, and their dogs, CRAZY!!

So much for bacon fat sandwiches.
(I weigh 130 lbs, on a good day)
