JR and I are putting the 360 together and I am missing the oil chain tab. Does it matter? I have the thrust plate with 4 bolts instead of 3 and one bolt has the hole in it.
Thanks -Ross-
It'll definitely help the chain live alot longer. SB timing chains are so long they stretch pretty fast. You should be able to fabricate a tab easily with a piece of sheet metal.
New design plate has drip built into it, and then there are the bolts that have the holes in them to allow oil to drip as well. But eith way do it, good idea, along with the oil slinger.
Let's combine this with the tensioner thread. Do I remember that the piece that replaces the thrust plate is missing one of the bolt holes? So what, if anything, would you do to install the oil tab if you were using the tensioner?
