Charles Servedio, Dangerous Donny's 540-440 Mopar project. Trick flow 270 cnc heads, small back cut vs. Large back cut

Maybe it’s just me, but I found the info presented in the last two to be pretty “scattered”.

It does reinforce my thoughts that re-porting cnc ported heads doesn’t fall into my “the most(gain) for the least(effort)” credo.

He did a nice job on that manifold.

BTW those M1 RB intakes have been cloned and 440 Source is selling them. Sadly with the thermoquad carb pattern though.

Low deck version is coming soon they say.

They will have a stock intake port

It’s a different manifold.
The one in the video is the “337”, which is RB/MW ports, 4150 carb flange.

“Sadly with the thermoquad carb pattern though.”

Universal carb pad…..fits spread bore and square bore.

It just would have been nice to put a little effort to make it a square bore with dual pattern. The few TQ guys could die grindered it to a proper spread bore. What it is now is a compromise of both.

But begged can’t be choosers. Very happy they are taking on these part Mopar Perf/Direct Connection is doing nothing with.

Here’s what you can do that helps air fuel mixture and make a little more HP

I had the opportunity to dyno test a Hughes modded M1 against a non-square top M1 on a 446 in the 600hp range.
It was like a 5hp difference……..way less than the owner was expecting.
