Charles Servedio just posted a video porting SBM cast iron intake with Thermoquad

Exactly what are you saying?
What don't you understand?
Still waiting for your reply.
And you could spend the rest of your time on this site waiting if I wanted ..but I'll spell it out for you..
Youtube is full of people doing the same ****...**** they see someone else do, notice the attention it gets and so they chase views and pretend they were the 1st to do it.
Dv, tony, the wood guy, servidio... all apart of some of that.

Almost no original ideas on YouTube.

In the end its just a bunch of guys grinding holes and giving tutorials as if its rocket science. Clown show after a while.

Gotta love when people cast doubt on others.. so they bring in somebody they believe is a guru or some Pro headporter and end up basically in the same place a 20 something did over 15 yrs ago.

I was doing the 675 heads in 2009 getting 210 with stock valves and basic wide acute 3 angle vj's. @seabee got a pair..and stuck a Schneider cam in his 273 and that fkr would move. Even on the freeway hitting passing gear...the torque was big for a 273.. and back then no one cared. The attention wasn't there, because everyone was chasing RHS heads and drooling over those.
I did the 302 videos.. as a nobody..and right off the bat got over 3k in viewers...instantly the names started to pounce all over those heads and in such a way as if they were the brainchild.
Its not about originality or respect on YouTube as much as it is about views. Rumble you know better than anyone because you stood next to him while he did it. The **** was being milked. No one gave a nod.. not one. Zero respect. So fk dv sv and the rest. Who tf wants to watch a ford and chevy guy teach about mopar port shapes anyway.
I slowed and almost stopped posting because of stupid **** like that. Let them find their own now.

Sorry you feel that way. Who are you?

I’m just a ham fisted monkey, but this is how I think about it. The force creating the flow starts in the cylinder and is first seen at the bowl. Then onward back through the intake tract. You “want” to create the greatest pressure differential you can and transmit that back through the head then the intake then the carb. Say the head flows more than the intake. The velocity of the charge will increase in the intake. At some point, the velocity gets so high, problems occur. Fuel separation etc. I’m not sure at what point it goes bad. What I’m absolutely sure about is the thermoquad intake and carb when massaged can support 275+ CFM of head flow to the tune of 420 CI’s at 130+ mph. So you aren’t probably aren’t going to be out flowing it at 222 cfm. I believe the aftermarket intakes improve the quality of the charge more than the gross air flow, but remember ham fisted monkey!
You ain’t no ham fisted monkey. Your opinion carries weight around here if smart people are listening. But I disagree with one thing, the force creating the flow doesn’t start in the cylinder, the atmosphere is where the pressure is and all we do is make the piston and cylinder drop below that. The force is above pushing down, not inside pulling in.

Yeah, he has a low tolerance for ignorance.
You don’t know him.
Who are you?
But you are saying he’s ignorant? Maybe you should hang around a while and get to know some of us before making snap judgments. As of right now we all know your history on you tube, and what you’ve put out there, but you don’t know our history, so maybe wait a while before hanging a good member out to dry.

Yeah, he has a low tolerance for ignorance.
More like ignorant rude attitude and worse when coupled with insisting your right and don’t want to listen.

A closed mind will learn nothing.

When he is straight and feeling helpful, he’s almost OK and tolerable.
Almost likable believe it or not. But he is mostly a self righteous used asswipe left on the floor of a hookers motel, not that I’ve been there though I have heard colorful descriptions.

You know the saying Charlie, don’t scratch dirty assholes. It’ll just stink up your fingers and the itch will come back.

Such is the case with MoPar offical and even more so as of late.

His miserable life has him drinking and posting.

Don’t worry about his next several and what I’m sure to be super rude posts, he’s just another asshole farting into a microphone against the wind. A waste of time.

Perhaps one day he will quite drinking and relax, maybe even become a helpful person again one day. I just think it’ll be today. Or tomorrow.

Maybe when he’s tripping out tonight listening to Sony and Cher in the bathtub, he’ll play with a plugged in toaster.

“I GOT YOU BABE!”

My take on this is, I don't necessarily care or take stock in someone's testing. I've LIVED through seeing these cars with that very intake and carburetor. I OWNED one when I was in school. It would haul ***. That's all I really need to know. ...and it was the "low horsepower 73 model in a 73 Charger. A total pig and it still hauled ***.

Never heard of you either.
Take your bowtie *** to a Chevy site
Maybe he was simply asking what your YouTube channel/name is/was? I searched moparofficial and nothing came up. Always interested in what people are doing with hunks of iron.
Not for nothing and I understand sometimes it's about the journey but KG engines has a cnc program for the J's and X's that flow well into the 280's.

I have been abused by way better than him so I am not worried.

I appreciate you sharing your work with us. I appreciate all who take time out of their busy schedule (time = $$$) to share info that most don't have access too.
Thanks, the part nobody seems to notice is a mildly ported j head goes 270 cfm and 245 through a thermoquad modified intake. The 800 cfm carb knocks it down to 217

He has his YT channel link right in his signature line.

To me the Question what's the hp potential of each reading, I don't think there on par with one another, we generally know what is the hp potential of certain style head with a certain level of build with a given head flow aka A general street strip j headed sbm probable be in the 1.7-2 hp per cfm range(give or take), but what's capability of flow once you introduce intake or intake and carb, I don't think it's the same.

Usually when you usually hear about intakes it seems more about volume, csa, taper, the transition from plenum to port, angle of attack from intake to port etc... More than flow.

I did notice that when I watched your video. I was wondering if there were mods that could be done to the thermoquad to improve the flow. There are also and 850 and 1000 cfm thermoquads out there. Wonder how much better they might do?

I watched all of Moparofficials videos. I have also watched all the mopar stuff you have done as well Charlie.

I appreciate those that are willing to share their knowledge. These engines have been around so long that no one is reinventing the wheel with any of this stuff.
