I took my last 500" motor build to the chassis dyno today. I mainly wanted to see the fuel curve. I have been messing around with my fuel curve trying to tune it with my LM-1. My fuel curve looks good, the results are:
Max HP 590
Max torque 558.31
That was without the air cleaner. With the air cleaner:
584.83
568.28
I don't know why it lost 10 ft lbs of torque going without the air cleaner.
Recap of the motor build:
500"
Indy SR 295 CNC
Solid Roller
272/276 @ .050" .610"
Mopar 337 Manifold with 1000 CFM 4150
12.75 CR
On the engine dyno it made 708 hp

With those dyno results, you better start saving your money for rear tires. :o)

Congrats! Torque curve looks very sweet. Serious "Vert" power, but i see by your signature that your no stranger to big cubes :D. Beautiful cars and garage you have.

man , that thing is bad fkn ***. all that motor in that factory trim is just awesome !!!

70s are my favorite year charger

wheres the door scoops? lol

I've seen both hp and torque affected by having an air cleaner - With it not being a shaker car I'l think it would have been less, but if there's a mechanical fan, or the blower moving air accross the radiator, the air right over the carb can be turbulent. Same thing that can happen with open scoop on a race car.

Thanks for sharing.
Nice clean cars too. Looking at them you would think they
Where just plain old street cars.
Makes my 450 horse bracket car look wimpy.

Lol do you own stock inBF Goodrich! ? My gawd! I'd love to see what one of them would do if you could hook it! Can't wait to finish and dyno my W motor

Thanks for sharing your toys. Makes my 600hp small block seem tame.
