Leanna, your pm box is full. I was trying to send the following message....
Hello! I have a #187 oil pan I plan to use in my 383 Scamp project. What can you do? It needs to be blasted and coated. Can you powder coat it in the correct Turquoise color like the Mopar engine enamel or would I have to try to pick a color?
How much $ would I'd be looking at?
Thank you! You do AMAZING work!
Harry, can you shoot me a couple pictures of the oil pan? I quote every job individually to be fair to everyone.
I've had literally dozens of requests over the years for that "Chrysler engine turquoise" ... but despite sending out hundreds of swatches to potential customers to help me narrow it down, not a single one has ever actually chosen the right color or hired me to shoot any of it. I'd love it if you want to try! :-D
I've been successful in matching Hemi Orange, the Mopar black wrinkle, the industrial red, light and dark argents, etc., widely used on our cars but I can't do it alone. My own 340 in my Cuda is orange as is the 440 in the shop truck; the 400 on the stand is also orange. I have nothing else here to compare my swatches to to find the right turquoise.
I can either send you some color swatches to compare to the motor or you can send me a small paint sample that I can forward to my powder supplier in Oregon. Anything -- a plastic body plug with overspray on it, a little scrap of the paint can label where a drip ran down the side, a little bolt, etc., will be fine.
Give me a call if you want to go over details or have any other questions in the meantime Harry. It would be an honor to add you to the Happy FABO Customers' List. :-D Thanks for writing me!
