Checking before I purchase new tires

I bought 15 inch rally wheels for my 1971 Demon. My question is will 215/65 15 fit the front of my car? Thanks in advance.

They are 4.25 back space

I was told that tire height is an issue up front. 215/50 r15 would probably be better. Or 205/70 r15.

215/60 r15 should fit, but you may run into issues at full turn.

That size was rubbing all over the place on the front of my 72 dart. Eating chunks out when turning!

I use 235/60/15 on my 67 barracuda with no problems. up front

A 215/65/15 should be 26" tall. That should fit just fine with a 4.25" backspace.

I had 225/60/15's on the front of my Duster on 15x7" with 4.25" backspace and had no rubbing issues. I wouldn't have been able to go taller because the front corner of the wheel opening would have hit a taller tire, but the Dart wheel openings have more space on the front corner. It'd work on a Duster too you just might have to trim the very corner of the wheel opening a smidge.

GmachineDartGT runs 255/40/18's on his Dart, those are also a 26" tall tire. And a heck of a lot wider.

Just put that size on the front of my 71 swinger. No issues. BBP front from 73 and up a-body. 15x6 wheel vintiques rallyes with 4" back space.
