Should be fine but crack check the entire remaining machine surface.
X'3 and what demon seed said.
You might get a small grinder and knock down any sharp edges. That would be where a crack might try to continue. That would suck. After that, I would run hell outta it.

Get a sanding roll and smooth out that area from where the piece broke off. Then thoroughly clean it.

That's what I was worried about,a crack, these heads are 40 years old and were kind of rusty, cleaned them up a bit and found that. I'm gonna take a grinder and smooth it out like you said and see if I can find any other imperfections. Thanks to everyone though. I plan running the hell outta it.
