Hey guys I recently purchased a clean used Chrysler 8.25 auburn sure grip. I looked inside and the spring retainer plates have welds on them like they were ether broken, or reinforced. My question is my local differential guy said that auburn sure grip break spring retainers, and springs all the time. Is it from abuse, or a design flaw? I'll be replacing them I just don't want to do it all the time there not cheap. Also how do I test the auburn for tightness, and that it's good without it being installed in the diff?
