Cig Lighter in Console

I've seen lots of pics of A-Bodies with consoles, but I don't recall any of them with an actual lighter installed. It seems most of them only have a chrome plug.

I'm interested in hooking up a power source to charge my phone in that location.

Any help is appreciated...

should just need to run a wire from primary lighter or fuse block and add a ground, the socket should be able to be had from any parts store.

If you have a ome harness its got the plug on it?? the one i got for my car has??

I cant see why you couldnt "extend" the harness that runs the cig lighter from the dash ashtray to under the carpet and the console?? With ground if need be...

All correct, standard lighter well fits there, same wire to lighter in dash extends to there.
Nobody mentioned the downside, a coin in that lighter well blows a fuse or worse.
