Cleaning matte dash paint, any tricks?

Soaked my rusty ash tray in evaporust and it cleaned up amazingly, but for some reason the black paint looks really nice now, while the rest of my dash looks pretty crap. Short of soaking my dash in a giant pot of evaporust what's a good way to tidy up faded old dash paint?

You dont have to soak it in a giant pot of evaporust. You can soak it with saturated paper towels. High quality towels. Says so right on the can of evaporust.
