Hey Guys,

New to the forum here!

Does anyone still make those clear vinyl seat covers they made back in the day?

I just purchased a 66 Valiant wagon and the interior in mint and I'd love to get a good, heavy duty seat covers that would still show off the seats.

As long as you keep animals and kids out of the car the interior should be fine....LOL
I do not think they make them anymore.Maybe keep a eye on Ebay...

Those clear plastic seat covers were made here in St. Cloud Minnesota at Fingerhut in the 50's-70-s. Hard to find now. A few yeas ago my friend went to a local auction and he said there were several pallets full of those NOS clear covers, said there must have been thousands of those covers....I can't remember if he said they sold or not, may have just went in the trash.....:banghead:

I figured they weren't being produced any longer, it wwas worth a shot!

Our Boxer wants to go everywhere with us, so He won't be allowed in this one one till I find a good alternative.

The covers you are looking for can be made up at any upholstery shop. I haven't made any
for many years at my shop (no request) but can still get the clear vinyl by the yard.
I like the idea of the clear covers for your seats, would definitely take you back in time. There was a day when I would make several sets a week even in our little town.

Raid the local retirement home; I'm sure there's plenty there to choose from.
