clips for hood hinges?

So I cut the old clips that hold the hinges on the car to put light weight springs on to support my fiberglass hood. I know I cant be the only one to have done this, so what did everyone else use to hold there hinges on?

Others have said those push nuts can be found at hardware stores. I haven't looked for them.
