I have a quick question, on a 72 dart, 318, clutch fan, 22'' rad with shroud. is the diameter of the fan 18'' or 181/2'' ? also, what is the least amount of fan into the shroud opening and still pull good? thanks, dave.

Diameters I don't know.
The fan should be about half way. Least amount I'm not sure on but do what you can to get (I'm guessing) a 1/3 of it in at least. This is what I would try and strive for.

thanks rob, what I've done is put in a 2001 5.2 magnum, and would really like to use the mag. clutch fan.as it sits now, I'm about 1/2'' away from the shroud opening. I don't know if I can pad the radiator out enough or not. also, the ram fan is 19 1/2'', but I've done some searching and found that the ram fan has the same bolt circle and opening as the dart. don't know if I can trim a little off the ram fan or not. thanks again.
