My neighbor gave me some coins to look into. She's 89, and has no interest in doing the legwork necessary to find their value.
The simplest way to describe them is that they are silver dimes, quarters and dollars and they weigh 8 pounds! There are a few Kennedy half dollars and three foreign coins.
She doesn't want to sell them, they were her deceased husband's, and she is just curious.
I know I'll have to go over each one separately. Is there a good online source for info?
I'm sure I'll get plenty of offers to get rid of the pesky things. lol I would expect nothing less from FABO members!
EDIT: As a reference, the two largest containers hold (20) 1 dollar coins, the next size down holds quarters, and the others hold dimes.
