Colomb Shift to Floor Shift

Thinking:banghead: Just a thought my 66 Valiant is Automatic on the colomb And was thinking of putting it in the floor to make room for headers any thought and pics of this done would help Opinions are helpfully too :scratch:

I havent done this but if it helps I could email you some pics from the Mopar parts catalog.

The best way to do it would be to find a donor car or someone parting out one that is complete.

You would have to find a 66+ donor car (maybe 66 only). My 65 floor shifter uses a cable-shift (plus parking cable), while 66+ were lever shift trannys, so I expect they have a linkage thru a big hole in the tunnel. You might also need to work on your dash harness. Some floor shifters put the backup lights in the shifter (mine). It might have moved into the tranny NSS by 66.
