Switching my 69' Dart from column to floor shift.
Took the old column shift steering column out and was comparing it to the floor shift steering column.
The steering coupler off the old one fit the new steering column perfect (so I guess they are interchangable).
Just wondering what the two bolts are on the floor shift steering column (left one in pic). I don't see these on the column shift steering column (right one in pic).

I believe the 2 bts hold the steering shaft bushing in place.

The column shift has the shift tube and a different (IIRC) bushing that clips in to center the shaft and shift shaft.

Be sure the two columns are both for PS or manual depending on your gear box.

I’m using power steering.
So what’s the difference between a power steering column shift and a manual steering column? I assume it’s just the length of the steering column?

The column on the right looks like a later column....not a '69.....at least going by that wire connector.
