The Vehicle Registry that Adam asked me to put together for him is just about done. It was a much bigger undertaking than I thought it would be... I told him it'd take about a week, it's been over a month.

Sorry, man. ;-)

Anyway... I'd like some people to try it out and see if there are any problems, or if it does something odd, of if you have any suggestions.

Click on this link:

http://elite-computing.net/v-web/bulletin/bb/vehicle_registry.php

You'll have to sign up, but all you need to provide is a username & password. No e-mail verification for your account.

You'll be able to edit or delete any vehicles that YOU enter into the database. The admin or moderators will be able to edit or delete ALL entries.

You have the option of having your contact information (address, phone, etc) to either be displayed to all users or to be marked as "private".

Right now - it supports VIN decoding for 1964-1974 Dodge, Plymouth & Chrysler vehicles.

Give it a shot, if you have any questions, problems or ideas on how to make it better, please post in this thread.

I'll try later. Need to find my vin #

Whenever... I'm leaving tomorrow at noon for a weekend full of racing (Friday night, Saturday & Sunday). So you've got all weekend to play with it.

Mike, I put the Duster info in and it appears to be okay.

N/A Plymouth N/A, Vin Decoder a little off for 65 me thinks. other than that. Cool Deal

The VIN you put in is too short... It should be 13 digits. See if you can find the whole VIN, then edit your entry and see if it comes up with the correct info.

You might want to check the Vin decoder, I think my car was a 318 car. No 273's in 69.
Fixed! Thanks for pointing that out.

Last time I decoded my car it said 318, on there it says 273.

Fixed...

THat is the Entire Vin. 66 they changed to 13 digits.

Yep, you're right. Sorry about that.

Now it shows your vehicle as a "1965 Plymouth Valiant V8/Barracuda V8"

Looks like some incorrect engine data for my Dart. Also when I input milage I put a comma in the number and it truncated it. I put 140,000 but it came out 140. Maybe put a note that says not to enter commas

Here is what what Bill Watson on the dodgedart yahoo group sent me to decode my fender tag. Maybe you'll find this usefull.

Yep. Looks like I'm having problems telling 273s from 318s. I fixed it, though. Now it shows you have a 318.

I know about the comma issue, I'm going to fix that as well.
