Does anyone know what these items are? I think the one on the right has something to do with vacuum advance maybe? They were mounted on the upper passenger side firewall in the engine bay of my 73 Duster. They were not hooked up to anything, but I bought the car with no engine. The car was originally a slant six. My 74 Duster (a 318 car) does not have these components.

Your '74 should have the one on the left....just in the air cleaner.....not the firewall. It is called an OSAC valve and delays vacuum to the distributor under certain conditions, The other item is also a smog device that was used in '73 only.

I had assumed as much but wasn't sure. My 74 doesn't have one either, but it already had a K&N air filter when I bought it....thanks!
