Compression?

I have a late 70's 440 block. These are around 8.5:1 compression. If I want to raise the compression by going with 915's for heads, does anyone know what my compression will end up at. I am a poor man and this is the cheapest way that I can think of to rebuild and raise the compression, This way I can get away with a rering and hone.

Probably 1/2 point in compression. Make sure you use the thin steel head gaskets too, they'll give you probably another 1/2 point.

That's right. Seems they were all over rated. Big and small blocks.
