Converter ID 904 vs 727

Can someone give me the skinny on how to tell if a converter is for a 904 or 727? The second question would be does Lock up vs. Non lock up make any difference.

The converter hub will measure approximately 1.875 inches in a 727. The converter is a lot bigger in size than a 904. Not sure on the 904 hub size. Yes, lock up makes a difference about 250-300 rpm lower cruising rpms. U can’t interchange them. Kim

Thank you brother, the converter I'm looking at has a hub less than 1.5", so I assume it's a 904.

Yes it will be. It’s lots smaller than a 727 hub. Kim
