Need Input on Grenaded Converter

It's a known problem with higher HP motors and the thinner hub thickness of the 904. 727 does not have the issue.
Company test mule. Had a 904 (with GM BOLT Pattern). Can't say for sure, but I don't recall issues with the converter hubs. Mind you, as the test mule, there is the possibility that the impeller for the converter might have been made in the CNC shop????

I know a few guys local track that had the same issue. I asked TA and JW trans if a heavy duty OEM style 904 hub was available and they both said no. The 727 hub is thicker than the 904. I'm on 1.5 years with no issues since the upgrade.

At one time, he set a NHRA record in Comp. Eliminator. Around 6.9 @ 201 or so. Jerry Hass Car, with a 500" Steve Schmidt pro-stock engine. I guess in reality, a pro-stock car with an automatic transmission. I should be so lucky as to have something like that, but it was fun working for an owner that drove those type of cars. :lol::lol:
