i have a 3500 converter that only stall a 2200 rpm maybe a little more when flashing

and 4.10 gear cannot get my 60ft any better than a low1.9
thinking i need more converter might try a 4000
what do you think (3300 lb car)
thanks for any input

Change the gear to a 4.30
Send the converter out and get it reset to 4000 rpm.
Just my 2 cents

I would call a few converter companies and see what they suggest. Your better off with one built for your combo and intended use. I would call dynamic, ptc, and ultimate and go from there. Main thing is to be 100% honest about your combo and intended use.

Dynamic did me a 9 1/2" converter that kicked ***. Would flash to 3800 rpm, easily get 3000rpm on the foot brake at the start line and it would cruise on the street like a stock converter. It was the best of all worlds.

Carb tuning (pump cams & squirters) can help converter flash and 60' times. If that initial squirt is too big or small, too long or short, you can be in a rich or lean condition that can make for a lazy launch. Double pump carbs can be tricky to tune.

............check ur timing, u will need 16* to 20* to get ur car to come off the line......take joe's advice.........kim........

..yes send all your build info to Frank or Sean at Dynamic...
..their 9 1/2 converter is a very nice piece when built for your car
