Converting 9-in to 10-in Front Brakes

Suggestions and comments appreciated for converting 9-in to 10-in front drum brakes on a 1973 Valiant 198 Slant 6.

arguments of needing rims and potentially tires aside, i think you're darn near a disc brake swap in price and level of lift.

performance wise, i don't think it'd be night and day. but you'd enjoy marginally better braking and more parts availability with the 10's

If you're getting the parts for free, or, virtually so, sure. The wheels should work for both. Otherwise, save your money for a disc brake changeover where you will probably need to change the wheels depending one which brake setup you use.
