Cooling fan 1" from shroud

Magnum engine with factory serpentine setup. Right now I have a 20" fan and a 20" shroud, I can get an 18" fan to fit into the shroud but right now the front of the blades are 1" from the shroud, and it's a clutch fan with the one big mounting nut so I can't use a normal fan spacer. I could space the radiator back but would rather keep it tight to the radiator support and the shroud is what it is. Does anybody make a spacer for the single nut mount?

Maybe wrap some sheet metal around the shroud to extend it back over the fan.

I'm not aware of any spacers, but check around for fan clutches from different engine and body applications. There were a lot of different shaft length variations that should get you in the ballpark.
For instance, your clutch appears to be from a mid -'90s 5.2/5.9 pickup

But a full size pickup with a V6 used one like this:

And early 5.7 hemis used ones like this:

All are reverse rotation and the same thread size.
If it were me, I'd spend an afternoon at the junkyard with a tape measure and check out all the different permutations of Rams, Dakotas/Durangos, and vans with V6, Magnum and Hemi engines. Make note of what you find and go buy a new one.
This would be a good chance to check out available fan diameters, too.

I lucked upon a new carquest 215135 on eBay for $40, seems to have the right depth I need. I can either buy an 18" blade or attempt to trim the factory blade down, not too sure how that's go lol.

Your cooling will be more efficient if the fan diam matches the shroud. Using a fan that is too small reduces the benefit of having a shroud.

Don't even try to trim down the blades! Get the proper diameter fan.

That needs a deeper shroud. You have the wrong one.
