I have a 67 FB Barracuda Formula S, which originally came with a 273. I have been collecting some parts to bring it back, but I have 3 of the wide trim pieces which span the area of the deck lid between the tail lights, and every one has a different color for the pebble-grained area of that trim. I have a gray one, a black one, and an unpainted (shiny) one. What color(s) were they originally finished in?

Unpainted aluminum is/was too reflective even after the pebble texture was added. Thus the argent paint. Shinny/reflective today would surely have been stripped by someone.
I've read the discussions on factory painted black for some builds, Formula S. That would have included the small pieces mounted on the tail light lenses also which isn't beyond their ability.
There were early rally inst' bezels painted black at the bottom portion from factory ( where most are argent ) in Formula S also. I'll assume these 2 treatments appeared together but then who knows when/where exactly? Every Formula S ? I don't think so. Just the big block S? That's possible.
Dealers could order just about any combination they or their customer wanted. I can only suggest you go by what is found on those tail light pieces.
