Hey all,

What's the correct scoop or scoops for a '72 Duster? Also, did they ever come with the go-wing?

I'm not planning a numbers matching resto, but I would still like to make it right.

Thanks

ramcharger,

I don't think the Dusters ever came with hood scoops from the factory.

Absolutely you could get factory hood scoops on your Duster.
As far as I know they came standard on the 71 up 340 Dusters.

Here is a pic of what they would look like. This is on a Mr.Norms 340 6-pack Demon.

I know the dual snorkel was factory for 72 Demons, BUT don't know if they ever came on a Duster as an option..........

Only the Duster Twister came with hood scoops, none of the 340 cars did. In 71, the Twister was equipped with the same dual scoops as pictured on the Demon 340 above. Again in 72. In 1973, Plymouth put on smaller dual scoops much like the optional dual scoops on the 1969 'Cuda models. In 74 scoops were gone for good.

The Go-Wing ceased being a factory option after the 71 model year but I'm sure many dealers still slapped them on new cars in the subsequent years.
