couple lifters not spinning

fresh 360 mopar 509 cam
pulled valve covers to check things out
and found a couple push tubes (lifters ) not spinning
removed lifter can see the pattern and its not spinning


any ideas man these hydrualic cams are getting old

I had this problem but with a mopar solid flat .528 cam. I bought a quality comp cam lifter and it spun a lot better. Upon engine assembly, did you check if the lifters spin in their bore without getting caught up?

i did check the bore no fault found
does the cam spin the lifter or is it the oil pressure

The cam lobes spin the lifters as the lifter face has a very slight crown to it. You might want to try a new set of lifters before you damage the cam lobes if it's not to late.

got the intake off and lifters out no damage found thinking of trying a set comp lifters



even thinking of going hyd roller and useing hughes new roller lifter

I check during assembly. At that point you can swap them around and get them all to spin. If the others are rotating and worn in, I'd just replace the one. Regardless, you'll still need to follow the same break in procedure as if everything was brand new.
