Couple passes at the track today

I foot brake it to about 1800 and let it flash

As I expected. I run a true custom 3500 convertor and it flashes to 3500. I can foot brake without a push to 1100, maybe 1200. When I bought it they told me to bring it up until the idel really cleans out, like high idle, just over 1,000 RPM and matt it on the last yellow and let it flash to 3500.

1,800RPM If it has any efficiency in the convertor will do exactly what's happening in the video, load and push then dog.

Try leaving between 1,000 and 1,200. Hang on tight.

If converter is advertised @ 3500 stall chances are it's flashing less. Probably needs a converter to be 3800-4000 or better yet 4200 stall to shoot out of the hole like a cannon!:D

500rpm over peak tq is optimal. All of the other combo info is critical.

ill give it a shot next time I’m out.

I run a 22" two core generic aluminum radiator from a local speed shop that caters to dirt track cars and a Flowkooler belt driven pump with a MP viscous fan kit and shroud.

It cools my 434" small block without any problems. With a 160° thermostat even in the hottest weather on the street it wont make 185°. At the strip it'll be in the high 170's on the return road.
