Couple quick 904 questions!

1) Is the starter mounting position different on a 904 then a 727 on a small block bell housing?

2) Did Chrysler ever build a big block "904", not a A999 or A998?

Not that I don't believe the previous posts, lol.
I just want to be 100% positive.
Someone told me the starter wouldn't fit with a Hemi, if I use a 904. It would only fit if I use a 727.
And that just doesn't make any sense to me, but would rather be sure instead...

Thanks, man, it's a done deal, just 'cause I hate missing out.
I just couldn't get past the "it won't fit part", it's a small block bell housing, so why would the starter be in a different position? It's relative to the ring gear isn't it.

So I figured WTF, I'm not 100%, but I think I am.

Kinda like having an argument with the Mrs., you're just never sure, lol.

I am confused as to exactly what you want the answer to. I can tell you this. The SAME starter fits the slant six that fits the 3.9 V6, small block, big block and Hemi. Does that answer it?
