Cowl Drains

Not an easy way. They are kinda behing the hood hindges and every thing that washes out of them stops again behind the fender. Only 2 bolts to remove to pull out on bottom of fender and wash the debrie out to the ground(unless you have a rocker molding).
The vent box of the heater case is held up with a J bolt like a battery bolt.
The seals there can cause a leak. I always thought that was a pizz poor way of attaching the boxes but it worked. Age and gravity works against it too.
You didn't say if leak is on pass. side, drv.side, or both. If it's only pass. side check the grommet at radio antenna (behind kick panel). Water can come in there too.
