Any of you guys use the crane 150052 cam and lifer set? I have a 318 with 360 J heads and found this cam for pretty cheap locally. The specs are 454/454 lift, 216 duration at .050 and a 110 lsa. Thanks

I used this cam in a tired 360....nothing special. It should be ok for your 318 if it´s stock, but if you expect more power i´d go with a comp XE268 or similar, maybe a Lunati. Do you know the comp. ratio of your engine with the 360 heads?

I used this cam in a 318 in my old 71 Dart. Absolutely loved it. Had a little bit of a lope to it in the 318. Motor had a Edelbrock Performer intake, headers, and a Holley 650 doublepumper w/1inch 4hole spacer. My compression came in however at a measly 7.9:1!!!
Car ran 8.90's all day in the 1/8 and I could drive it anywhere. As a matter of fact i drove it to the strip every time. And got around 12-15mpg with it. I was complimented at the track when after seeing it run, guys would come up and ask if it was a 340 and they were shocked when I told them it was 318.
Actually, I bought the same cam for my new 318 build for my Valiant. Except I'm going to run the small valve J heads and have around 9-9.5:1 compression this time around. Will also be using 273 adjustable rockers as well.
I'll use the same size carb and have a Performer intake. Oh, and the teen is getting bored .030". The last one was a standard bore. This one ought to run like a champ.
I think you'll like it. I installed it straight up.

Oh yeah, my car also had an 83/4 with 3:55 posi, a 904, and a factory hi-stall converter...it'd stall 1800rpm no prob. Thought it was weird, but my cuz told me it was a factory hi-stall.

Rocker. I ran the Crane split. 272/284 in a dead stock '79 (7.9-1 ratio) 318 with bolt on's. 4bbl on a Edel. LD4B and headers into a Jegs 2-1/2 exhaust system with a 3.21 sure grip equiped rear.
It was a high 14 sec. capable Duster.
