Crane ductile iron rockers

I am looking at these, and wondering if you just use the springs between the rockers, or would you put a spacer to put between the rocker and spring?

I see mopar performance offers some that are , .015 thick

have ran the springs only between the rockers...you can use the .015 spacers to center the rocker over the valve stem..
