Crate Hemi finished

A while back 2 392 crates were delivered to the shop. They were tore down for piston, rod, amd cam upgrades and some head work. Badlilred/Mike Sexton was visiting and my son and the owner pulled in with the car.

After they left Steve call me and said Dad **** that small block we're buying one of these crates. There is a 4L80 trans in the car with a set of twins. Made somewhere over 1100 at the wheel. Total investment in the car was 15K. Bought the body basket case in paint. They built it for drag-n-drive it has a class three hitch. Made one pass mid 6's on 6 lbs conserative.

Steve said it took everything he had to hold his head front as he was hanging onto the down bar. I made the column and steering wheel for the car. That is the only credit I can take. Thats mike in the blue couldn't get him to face the camera.

Take any old small block with compression, cam, heads, and put 6lbs on top of it. It’ll do the same thing.

I don't know I was not there and I don't remember what they said. Maybe Mike recalls.That was the first time I have seen the car in person. He usually pops in Steves with a Hellcat a TRX or a B1 86 150 he races . What I can tell you is Nick is one very good fabricator and welder he does it for a living.

Looks like he builds a hell of a nice car. I hope I get to see it run.
