Just pulled my cam Crower says they cant find it its eather Y5125 or EP-45 For a 440 ? i Mic'd it up at 330 x 1.5 rocker ratio wich is 495 lift is that correct ?
I looked for a while, but couldn't find anything even close. Cracked has the best idea. Silly question, are you sure it's a Crower? I believe Engle uses an EP prefix on some of it's cams.
Is the EP-45 in the shaft or stamped on the end? If it's cast in the shaft it is probably a foundry number, I believe most cam grinders stamp there info on the ends of the cam.
It's stamped in the camshaft shaft, it's still in the engine. I'd like to find out if it's anything good or if I should just replace it while it's out of the car and out on the stand I looked and engles website and havnt found it I'll probally have to call around. Figured I'd see if anyone else might have seen or heard of this cam before I just pull it and buy another.
The stamp is on the shaft of the cam I bought the longblock and was told it was rebuilt but the previous owner died so the guy new nothin about the engine other than it was rebuilt so I pulled it apart to see how it all looked it's a low compression 77 truck engine but i figured I'd run it as it sits just wanna make sure the cam will be ok with the low compression, and if not change it before I put it in my 70 duster.
sorry just got back on here , it says crower on the cam , i called crower , and also had my boss speak to dave crower him self the cam is from like the early 90's , and dont have any info on it , they only keep records for 5 years or so
