...and will NEVER do that again.

A fairly new pizza joint had their first cruise'in so wife and I went. There was a spot open beside a 70 Barracuda so I thought, cool, Mopar guys stick together.

The owners were sitting in lawn chairs behind their car. As I was getting out of my car, I say to them, what's the chances that two Barracudas park beside each other?

The wife muttered something under her breath and the guy didn't say a word. Nothing. - Nada - Zilch

Guess what they say about e-body owners is true.

Enjoy some pictures!!

Thanks for the photos

Screw that asshat...

I have a friend who has a 70 Hemi Cuda. One of the nicest guys I know. To be fair he also pilots private Lear Jets, and used to land on aircraft carriers, so his Cuda is pretty tame in comparison.
The New Yorker was freaking huge!
I've been telling my wife I want one of those. I really like the idea of a couch with steering wheel.

I converse with them on purpose. Makes them look like jackwagons if they don't want to talk. . :poke:  Then when my A Body attracts more attention, that's icing on the cake.

Many E-body owners are converted Chevy people . Fickle ! in the old days the owners of E-bodies appreciated all Mopars . And I assume some still do….

I’ve driven E-Bodies with /6 , 383 , 440 , 440-6 and Hemis .
While they are fantastic looking I would rather drive your car .
You sit very low in E-Bodies and they tend to be somewhat rattly . The Hemi Cuda was amazing to drive though !

Funny, I had the exact same experiences with E bodies, cool to look at, but I'd much rather have my 70 Dart back.

This was a 440.

I like your approach!!

His lack of friendliness took me by surprise. For a ling time, we were the only two Mopars. The New Yorker came in late.

When low rent moved into the neighborhood! You should have busted out the snowflake, racist rant about profiling you. :)

If you had fun... all good. Car looks great!

Lol. That would have been good.

Yeah, we had fun. An acquaintance from the Air Force Base where I work had his 70 Mustang there. And we met a couple of great guys, one with the red Chevelle and the other in a Camero.

I have a few good friends who own E bodies......and other Mopars as well. Some of the nicest people I know. I've seen it though. Same attitude as some of the Vette crowd. There's buttholes everywhere and good people too. Just ignore the buttholes.

Yup... We pricks really don't like associating with the likes of y'all A body riff riff types...
Accept somehow I've helped a few dozen guys with A bodies to get their cars running & driving.... Then invited them to join our group taking drives & generally enjoying life...

I think people like that are in the minority. I usually get mostly love, friendship and respect from everybody at car shows. Once in a while some dickhead will say something rude, but for the most part, people are friendly.

Somewhere there is someone who owns a Lamborghini or McLaren laughing that a person could be so arrogant and stuck up owning a 1970 Dodge or Plymouth.

Funny you should mention them.

Thete was a brand new Lotus, a beautiful Lamborghini, and an older Ferrari in excellent condition. I'm not really a fan, but they certainly made you look.

We got a cold shoulder from a sublime green example at local cruise-in. I said to wife, Our 1/4th the retail price brings 4 times the buyers. Good luck to them and the few with e-body piggy banks. Never attempted to park up there by the deep pockets again. Near the ratrods got the same lookers.

One of my Facebook friends is a celebrity of sorts around the Vegas area. He owns many exotic cars. He has a small Lambo...I forget the model, A later Vette several others and my personal favorite.....the car that kinda brought us together a numbers 70 440 six pack 4 speed Challenger. He was looking for an originally marked and lettered radiator hose. I found him one. He also loves cats. One of the nicest friends I have on Facebook. Just a super cool guy. He's posted lots of nice comments about Vixen. A Valiant. And he has all that other stuff. Here's his Lambo.....whatever it is. lol He calls it "The Cheddarwedge" lol

^Those type are the best type^ I'm guessing he wouldn't stay planted behind his ride like guard dog at the cruise-in. Takes all kinds. This life would be boring if everyone was the same.

I parked beside a snotty 440 E body owner when I had my 68 Dart that I installed a 70 340 into that I had did a rering job on. When we were leaving I told him to put up or shut up. His wifey was snickering. I told he I’d wipe that smile right off her face. Oh ya he was hot. We went out for a run and while he was burning rubber we were long gone. We got the last laugh. Kim

No he doesn't. He's REAL heavy in the Vegas car show and cruise in scene. His Facebook account is SLAM FULL of pictures he takes everywhere. While whatever he drove sits elsewhere. So yeah, he wanders. LOL

For many, the muscle car crowd doesn’t recognize a 66 Barracuda as car in their ‘class’. But how many early A-Bodies do you see at events? Great looking Barracuda you have there
