Is taking off a power coating hard? I have a lid, powered coated and damaged. A MP striped lid.

Rumblefish, those were done for another FABO member and friend of mine from the Barracuda Owners Group, JLP. He also posted a review here (http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=35294).

I have one of those same MP breathers you have with the ribs. One of these days it'll match my lime green valve covers too. Getting the old coating off was pretty easy with the usual media blasting (I have my cabinet set at around 90-100 psi depending on the substrate I'm blasting). You can also use aircraft stripper, or some special Paint & PowderCoating Stripper from Eastwood. It's just slightly more expensive than gasoline at $59.99 a gallon. I love working on those MP ribbed parts ... there's so much that can be done with them (and those 273 Commando valve covers too) so you can let your imagination run wild and come up with really distinctive results.

John ,I still have a chip in the paint of the fender of my B`cuda where my girlfriend "helped" me install the front bumper. I left it there to always remind me of her good intentions. God bless those with dirty hands and a clean conscience.

Yeah... I went to bed. But the first thing I did this morning was check to see if you posted the pictures..... and WOW! They look great! I even had Amy checking them out and she agreed that they look great!

Thank you for doing such a nice job. I can't wait to bolt them on. And as for Steve's question on firing up the engine, I'm waiting on the radiator shop to finish cleaning out all those little nuts from inside my radiator / grain silo. And as for the swivel fitting, I'm going to wait and see if it's good when I fire it up. Several people have mentioned that they're suppose to wiggle a bit. I'm probably just being paranoid.

After all, this has been smooth-sailing all along, right? :-D

You're very welcome!!! I'm glad you're happy with the preliminary results (even if my pictures could be better LOL -- that old 2.9 megapixel camera leaves much to be desired).
