Looks like a Lockheed loadstar with titanic stacks! Wild. Cool pic though.

I'm not sure who was first, but the Germans had diesel powered aircraft in WWII

According to wiki, who else?

There used to be an outfit which for me was a laugh

In the 70s I was looking through a 4x4 mag and saw an ad for a "Fudpucker Trucker" hat. This is in a national mag, and I see they are in Hayden, Idaho!!!! not far from home.

So back in those days you actually got a PERSON with telco information, so I told her, "now this is not a joke, you have a listing for "Fudpucker Trucking?"

She says "well, I do show "Fudpucker World Airlines!!!!"

Turns out these guys sold several joke outfits, coffee mugs, travel bags, and claimed to operate the "only steam powered airliner in the world!!"

Their logo featured a "square" world globe
