I have a really neat custom built deep sump trans pan for the 904 transmissions. It has a special rear sump design that allows the trans fluid to collect at the rear of the sump during a hard launch, and be picked up by the special pickup that extends to the back of the pan. Stock trans pans, even the aftermarket deep pans, push the fluid to the rear of the pan and then up into the trans during launch. This pan eliminates that situation. It holds the same amount of fluid as the deep pans do but keeps it away from the internals of the trans much like the deep engine oil pans keep engine oil away from the crank. This setup uses an OEM or any type of replacement 904 filter. The special pickup tube bolts to the original filter location while the other end holds the filter. The total depth of the pan at its lowest point is 6 ¼” to the gasket surface. The only issue with this setup is that the pickup tube wasn't welded correctly and hits the pan bottom so it needs to be bent up a bit. This was designed and built by a group of Super Stock racers from upstate NY. Just put some paint on it. I’d like to get $100.00 for the pan and pickup plus the shipping.

Out of curiosity what were those racers names? I'm from that area and maybe I know one of the guys that made the pan.
