Thinking of making my own center console for my 71 Demon. The plan is to put a 5spd in, just wondering if anyone out there has any ideas or opinions on the best way to do this.

I have never done one but I have seen several made from wood strips and covered in cheese cloth and covered in fiberglass resin.
