So I took the plunge and just did it. I had no idea what would come out or how I was gonna.make this work.

I wanted the collapsible section and that's what I got. I cut off 3" to get behind the roll pin on the steering lock and added 12" of 3/4 round stock. I had 3' of double D shaft but I liked this solution more. It was easier to use the flat section of the DD shaft as a guide.

This is the same way I did drive shafts back in the day. (Drive shafts I used the TIG.)

Everything is loose in this pick.

And a HUGE shout out to Joe's racing for helping me with my steering shaft mount.

I can't say enough about them. They are second to none as far as service goes.
And there parts are sexy as all get out.

And no that's not the angle that the mount will sit at. These pics were just for length. The mount is top notch.

Before pic.

I do realize that this column bumps me out of the class I was looking to race in but how much I hated the look of the factory one VS days at the track, I don't know what's best?

There's always more motor and tire,.it's just money right?
