I have a Milodon center sump low profile oil pan on my 383 GTS and there was no need to cut the K frame it cleared just fine.

The more you cut it the better you're gonna like it, especially if you try to
put the motor and trans in at the same time. I used a 440 source pan and cut the k-frame pretty good. It has worked out well. You can see by the photo that
I cut out about 2 1/2 inches and just moved the piece with the radius forward
and re welded it. After it was back in place I trimmed the bottom to fit.
